About these terms

These terms apply when you use this website or book a treatment with Big Thum. Big Thum is a home visit massage and wellness service operating in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman in the United Arab Emirates. We do not operate a public premises; our therapists travel to you.

Booking and confirmation

Sending a booking request, whether through the form on this site, WhatsApp, phone or email, is a request rather than a confirmed appointment. Your booking exists once we have confirmed the treatment, the time and the price with you directly. Treatments start from AED 200 per 60 minutes, and we confirm the exact figure with you before the appointment is fixed.

What we need from you

  • A clear space of roughly two metres by two metres for the massage table, or about four metres by three for a couples booking.
  • Access to the address at the agreed time, including any building registration, gate pass or reception notice your property requires.
  • Bathroom access if you have booked a body scrub, since rinsing is part of that treatment.
  • Accurate information about injuries, medical conditions, medication, allergies and pregnancy when you book.

Health and suitability

Our treatments are wellness treatments. They are not medical care, they are not physiotherapy, and they are not a substitute for advice from a doctor. We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. Some treatments are not suitable during pregnancy, with certain conditions, or alongside certain medication. Tell us your circumstances when you book. We may decline or adapt a treatment on safety grounds, and we may ask you to speak to your doctor first. If you have symptoms that concern you, please see a doctor rather than booking a massage.

Conduct and safety

Our therapists are professionals carrying out a professional treatment. Any behaviour that is inappropriate, suggestive or unsafe will end the session immediately, and we reserve the right to decline future bookings. This applies without exception.

Cancellations and changes

If you need to move or cancel an appointment, contact us on 0524447520 as early as you can and we will do our best to rearrange it.

Note for Big Thum: the specific notice period and any charge for late cancellation or a missed appointment need to be confirmed by you and stated here. Until they are, this page does not claim a policy that has not been set.

Payment

The price is agreed with you before the appointment is confirmed, and that is the price you pay.

We accept cash, online payment and bank transfer. Payment is made for the appointment once your treatment is complete, unless we agree otherwise with you in advance.

Our responsibility

We take reasonable care in providing our services and in selecting certified therapists. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for a condition that you did not disclose when booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
